The Republican Movement of Quebec
The Republican Movement of Quebec is a non-partisan group dedicated to the promotion and defense of political, economic and cultural rights of Quebecers. It promotes freedom of speech and debate. It does not take a stand on a particular policy until some form of convergence is well established between all its members. The goal is to bring together citizens, political organizations as well as all the organizations and businesses that wish to find a common consensus in order to make Quebec an independent and flourishing country. People of all nationalities can join for free or by making a voluntary donation.

Unlike a political party, the objective of the RMQ is to create a movement of influence with the current public authorities. More and more people are joining our Facebook group, not counting registrations on our website. Apart from this, the organization wishes to give itself the means to be in a position of strength, to put forward its ideas and the interests of the Quebec people as a whole.
Not being a political party, the Republican Movement of Quebec therefore has no party line to defend. The RMQ does not want to restrict the range of ideas and impose on people a unique vision of Quebec's political destiny. Because opinions are highly diverse, it is crucial to stay tuned to what people really want and it is for this reason the Organization seeks to bring the citizens together around a common project. It is in the discussion and sharing that we will be able to find this famous consensus.
On the other hand, the Republican Movement of Quebec is expected to adopt a clear and precise position regarding the future of Québec. Taking into account the disastrous policies carried out by the Canadian and Quebec governments, the RMQ considers that the Nation is in a state of emergency. We will have to act quickly if we are to survive as people.
As a movement - not a political party - the organization gives itself a greater margin of maneuver and a freedom in its actions. It remains therefore independent vis-a-vis the rules that govern political parties in general. The time is not for division but for a common purpose, in the best interest of Quebec. Any other vision would be reductive and would undoubtedly lead the project of a free and prosperous Quebec to a bitter failure. However, in the event of the success in regrouping, it is not excluded that the Republican Movement of Quebec is transformed into a unifying political party.
Quebec is the custodian of a fabulous heritage and the people of Quebec have a mission to accomplish in front of humanity. It is time to put aside our solitudes and come together for a common goal!
It is therefore with these kinds of reforms that we will be able to work together!
Whereas it is incumbent upon the National Assembly, as the guardian of the historical and inalienable rights and powers of the Québec people, to defend the Québec people against any attempt to despoil it of those rights or powers or to undermine them; Whereas the National Assembly has never adhered to the Constitution Act, 1982, which was enacted despite its opposition; Whereas it is necessary to reaffirm the fundamental principle that the Québec people is free to take charge of its own destiny, determine its political status and pursue its economic, social and cultural development :
- The right of the Québec people to self-determination is founded in fact and in law. The Québec people is the holder of rights that are universally recognized under the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples.
- The Québec people has the inalienable right to freely decide the political regime and legal status of Québec.
- The Québec people, acting through its own political institutions, shall determine alone the mode of exercise of its right to choose the political regime and legal status of Québec.
- The Québec State derives its legitimacy from the will of the people inhabiting its territory.
- No other parliament or government may reduce the powers, authority, sovereignty or legitimacy of the National Assembly, or impose constraint on the democratic will of the Québec people to determine its own future.
